Caesar's Palace Ready to Celebrate 50th Birthday

The legendary Caesar's Palace Casino in Las Vegas has had a tough few years, but it's not letting any of that get in the way of preparations for its 50th birthday party. Despite a complex bankruptcy and complete restructuring, together with large fines for failure to prevent money laundering, there's no holding back on the celebrations that will see a $75 million revamp and upgrade to its Roman Tower of rooms.

The new look tower will also be getting a name change and once complete will be known as the Julius Tower, fitting for this Roman themed casino and hotel, which last received an upgrade back in 2001. The restructuring of the property will hope to eliminate a large chunk of the debt and combined with the new tower there's hope that Caesar's Palace will be getting back on the right tracks.

There's a staggering 3,960 rooms now at the property, an iconic Vegas hotel that has starred in great movies The Hangover and Rain Man and of course as well as the makeover there'll be plenty going on at the casino over the birthday period.

Caesar's Palace made its name with a mixture of great casino gaming and of course superb entertainment, and the decadent Roman theme was one that visitors really did enjoy. Beautiful cocktail waitresses, the world's best chefs and celebrities from around the globe have over the years provided just what the Vegas visitor was looking for, and there's much hope that the glory days are not quite yet gone as the $75 million investment in the future of one of the world's most recognized casinos hopes to prove.
