Las Vegas Casino Supporting Apple Pay

Las Vegas has never been off the pace when it comes to embracing new technology and Apple Pay is making its Vegas debut in June at the Cosmopolitan Casino. The digital wallet and mobile payment service is taking off with Apple users and the convenient handy payment method will be accepted to pay in the restaurants, bars and your Cosmopolitan Hotel bill.

A spokesperson for the popular casino resort stated that, "With a few point of sales already live, by early June, the resort's front desk, concierge, VIP services, restaurant collection and lounges, bars and select retailers will off the new payment method." So what about getting your casino action with Apple Pay? Well that's hopefully coming soon and the idea is to either allow players to purchase casino chips with Apple Pay, or pay for the chips at a specially designed terminal.

Lisa Marchese the CMO at the Cosmopolitan stated that "The arrival of Apple Pay on the Las Vegas Strip is a natural fit, offering increased mobile-centric, luxury travellers a streamlined and convenient experience."

Apple Pay is now accepted at a huge 200,000 locations across the US and there's the promise that an international launch will take place before the end of 2015. Only available on the new iPhone 6, 6 Plus and Apple Watches there's no doubt it's a convenient method of payment, allowing users a contactless fast and safe way of paying for goods and services. Casino players we would think would love the idea of having a stack of chips in their Apple Pay wallet that could be swiped at tables to allow for a cash free yet real money slots or table games experience...now that would be handy! As far as online casinos and Apple Pay, well we're not quite sure that's possible, but where there's a will there's a way.
