Industry giant BetSoft had recently added a new title to their popular Slots3 line with Fire and Steels Slots, a fantasy-themed game with a 3-4-5-4-3 diamond patterned reel setup with 20 paylines that pay both left to right and also right to left. The title also has a locked wild feature that triggers 10 free spins that holds the ability to be retriggered. The newest addition to the Slots3 series looks to be BetSoft’s most ambitious title yet and could prove to be an instant classic for a developer that has a long history of releasing high-quality games.
Betsoft’s newest title comes complete with an actual storyline that meshes well with the slot’s game play and graphics. Fire and Steel is the story of two warring factions that are vying for power after the assassination of the High Queen. The leaders of the two sides, the Shield Maiden and the Swordsman are the two children of the High Queen and are battling for the dominion of their kingdom. When both symbols land on the reels, if the Maiden’s horizontal Beam of Strength and the Swordsman’s vertical Beam of Strength intersect at any symbol on the reels the game’s bonus feature is triggered. The intersection of the two beams becomes a locked wild and the bettor is awarded 10 free spins.
The beams do not need to intersect in order for players to see a big win on the two important game symbols. The beams also act as expanding wilds; if only one character lands on the reels or if both symbols appear on the reels but do not intersect, they become expanding wilds that can be used to create winning paylines. This feature is also graphically enhanced and players will enjoy the action on the reels when the two symbols appear on the board.
Fire and Steel is BetSoft’s newest edition to the developer’s Slots3 series and the graphics can only be described as eye-popping. All of the symbols are beautifully rendered, especially for the expanding wild and when the bonus free spins are triggered. BetSoft even put extra into the game’s soundtrack and while still a bit repetitive like most, it an improvement over most slot music and really does add to the experience. Add in the fact that this game is mobile-friendly straight out of the gates make this a do-not-miss title from the powerhouse developer BetSoft.
Fire and Steel is a great addition to the recent list of games that BetSoft has released to great reviews. The developer’s last release The Slotfather: Part II is a follow-up to the massively successful The Slotfather and features 243 way-to-pay, a paying scatter that awards up to 25 free games and the Gangster bonus feature. Magic Shoppe boasts a 513,000 credit top prize, two scatter symbols and two more bonus games.
