$50,000 Per Day for Flappy Birds Creator

There's some very impressive numbers being reported regarding the revenue being created by the relatively new smartphone game Flappy Birds. The creator of the game is earning a rather nice $50,000 per day in advertising revenue, which for a game that was created just under a year ago is staggering. OK, so it's nothing on the huge $850,000 per day being received by the Candy Crush Saga developers however it's still a large amount.

The game seem to have come out of nowhere and to those of you who haven't tried it yet, it's beauty and indeed it's popularity possibly stems from the fact that it is so simple to play, yet very difficult to master. Playing the game involves tapping on your smartphone screen and keeping a somewhat erratic bird in flight while navigating through a series of series of pipes, gaining 1 point for each pipe you successfully get through. It looks and feels a little like a Mario Bros game with fairly basic graphics and such simple gameplay however once played you're hooked and beating your personal best is suddenly the most important thing you have to do that day! The person behind the game admits that the Mario style isn't a complete accident and Dong Nguyen says that the game was inspired by those great old school Nintendo games played when younger. he also states that there will be no upgrade or additions to the game as that could spoil it and that at present a sequel is only being thought about.
