The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa to give this fine establishment its full name is the biggest hotel in New Jersey. Owned by Boyd Gaming and MGM Resorts it opened its doors in July 2003 and has a modern Tuscany theme. The Borgata was designed to be a Las Vegas style casino resort that offered a whole lot more than just gambling, and it achieved just that with plenty of great bars, restaurants and entertainment it provides locals and visitors alike with a fantastic casino experience and it’s now the highest grossing casino in the Garden State. The Borgata has also embraced the world of online gaming too and now offers both online poker and casino games, and to indulge in those you’ll need to be over 21 years old and be physically located in the state of New Jersey. Law changes made this possible and all 12 New Jersey casinos now hold licenses to operate online casinos, however at present only 7 do so.
Gaming at The Borgata
Visitors to the Borgata will find a full gambling offering that includes plenty of slots and of course casino table games. Slots are indeed a big attraction and occupy much of the 161,000 square feet of gaming space at the Borgata with over 4,000 available to slots players. There are also 200 table games that include roulette, blackjack and craps and the Borgata boasts a fantastic poker room which plays host to large tournaments and high stakes cash games, with the World Poker Tour also making a stop there.
Dining and Nightlife at The Borgata
When it comes to dining the Borgata really does have all tastes catered for with a total of 11 restaurants. Visitors will find everything from the casual Noodles of the World, The Water Club and Roma to the fine dining offerings of Old Homestead, Bobby Flay Steaks and the Japanese option of Izakaya. There are plenty of nightclubs too and those that wish to party the night away have many options including the Gypsy Bar rock club, The Long Bar, B Bar and MIXX. On top of all of that there is also a great European style spa with all the extras and 11 specialty shops in the Borgata Shops.
The Borgata does really provide visitors with everything they need and is an extremely popular place to visit, and as you can see, it’s not just for gamblers. The nightclubs are very popular, as are the great eateries and it does stake a very good claim to being the number one hotel and casino in the state of New Jersey.
